Vienna – The second meeting of the Dactyloscopic Subgroup was held from 26 to 28 May 2025 under the auspices of the Austrian Chairmanship-in-Office of the PCC SEE. The event brought together leading dactyloscopic and IT experts from the PCC SEE Contracting Parties to address recent developments and potential challenges in the field.
The primary focus of the meeting was to support non-EU Contracting Parties in understanding and advancing the establishment of the technical and organisational preconditions required for the operational launch of automated dactyloscopic data exchange. Attention was also given to innovative technologies, including the application of artificial intelligence within Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS).
