Meeting with Mr. Lulzim Basha, Albanian Minister of Interior
On 3 November 2009 Mr. Anton Travner, Acting Head of the PCC SEE Secretariat, and Mr. Thomas Pepper, Senior Advisor, met with Mr. Lulzim Basha, Minister of Interior, Mr. Herion Lahi, Chief of Cabinet, and Mr. Nicoll Ndoci, Head of Department for the Migration and Readmissions, within the formal meeting of PCC SEE Secretariat with the Minister of Interion of Albania. The objective of the meeting was to present the Secretariat and its work, specifically about the upcoming event of Committee of Ministers and the special role of Albania as the depositary of the Police Cooperation Convention for South-East Europe.
A short and precise presentation of the history of the Convention and the role of the Expert Working Group, Committee of Ministers and the PCC SEE Secretariat broke up the ice for the main topic of the meeting. The Minister Mr. Basha was directly explained about the upcoming Committee of Ministers and the documents which should be adopted / signed at the meeting in Brussels.
The minister stated that Albania will suport the implementation process of the Convention as well as the supporting role of the PCC SEE Secretariat.
