17th Annual General Assemble of the South East Europe Chiefs of Police Association


The 17th SEPCA Annual General Assemble took place in Opatija in Croatia, from 14 to 16 April 2010. The General Police Directors and their Deputies or Ministerial representatives from Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation, Macedonia, Romania, Albania and Montenegro were present.

At the meeting Mr. Zlatko Miletić, the President of the SPECA, stressed the importance of the progress and need for continuence of a cooperative approach to policing and security in the Region. Two Memorandum of Understanding’s were accepted and signed:

1. between SPECA and Republic of Bulgaria (Ministry of Interior), which is going to be the host country of the association and will provide the political support for the association, registered under the Bulgarian law.

2. bettween SEPCA and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), to enhance the partnership and strengthen the international law enforcement cooperation at all levels of mutual interest between the participants.


The new SEPCA Executive Board Members were also appointed:
- Mr. Ljupco Todorovski, Macedonia (President)
- Mr. Zlatko Miletić, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Vice President)
- Mr. Oliver Grbić, Croatia (Past President)
          
The next General Assembly will be held in the first half of November 2010 in Macedonia.
