14th Meeting of the PCC SEE Committee of Ministers

Sofia, Bulgaria - The 14th Meeting of the PCC SEE Committee of Ministers was convened on 19 November 2015 under the auspices of the Macedonian Chairmanship-in-Office. It took place back-to-back with the Salzburg Forum Ministerial Conference which was organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior. Ministers responsible for home affairs and authorized high officials from the Contracting Parties to the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe (PCC SEE) gathered with the aim to discuss the progress in the PCC SEE implementation process and further modalities necessary for the advancement of cross-border law enforcement cooperation amongst their countries. 

The Committee of Ministers continued the discussions held during the Salzburg Forum Ministerial Conference related to the fight against threats stemming from the mixed migratory pressure and presented some concrete examples on how the PCC SEE can be utilized as a legal basis for this purpose. The Committee of Ministers further presented the most outstanding achievements in the PCC SEE implementation process and defined the main strategic and practical orientation of this process for the period beyond 2016.
