3rd Meeting of the Expert Working Group

The Expert Working Group is the fundamental working group of the decision making process and its decisions and actions represent the actual implementation of the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe.

The third official meeting of the Expert Working Group organized, under the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the Convention, took place on 19 - 20 May 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Representatives from eight Contracting Parties to the Convention with a formal and legal authorization to make decisions and international partners, acting as observers, attended this meeting. DCAF and Austria were represented among the invited participants.

The participants discussed issues related to data protection, harmonised training on Convention related matters, the PCC Manual, the progress in the area of bilateral and multilateral agreements and the implementation of the Communication Strategy endorsed by the Committee of Ministers on 17 November 2009.

The participants were also informed about the priorities of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office, the progress and achievements of the PCC SEE Secretariat as well as the forthcoming meeting of the Committee of Ministers, which took place the next day, on 21 May 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
