Online -   Following the informal negotiation round to amend the PCC Prüm Agreement, held on expert level on 27 May 2020, the PCC SEE Contracting Parties finalized their internal procedures necessary to convene in a formal negotiation round. In view of overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 situation and with the strong desire to continue with an uninterrupted development of this important matter, the nominated negotiation teams held the formal negotiations in an online environment on 18 February 2021. The negotiations were led by the Hungarian Chairmanship-in-Office and facilitated by the PCC SEE Secretariat. The negotiations resulted in the agreed and final text of the Protocol amending the PCC Prüm Agreement, which will allow for the agreement to be used in practice by all signatories. In the upcoming months, the signatories will obtain the required mandates for signing, after which the signed Protocol will go through the national ratification procedures.
