3rd (follow-up) Meeting of the Thematic Working Group on the Practical and Technical Implementation of the PCC Prüm Agreement - Automated Exchange of Dactyloscopic Data
Online - The Dactyloscopic Subgroup of the PCC SEE Thematic Working Group on the Practical and Technical Implementation of the PCC Prüm Agreement held an online meeting under the auspices of the PCC SEE Chairmanship-in-Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together dactyloscopic and IT experts from PCC SEE Contracting Parties engaged in, or preparing for, automated dactyloscopic data exchange.
The meeting focused on recent developments related to the operationalisation of automated fingerprint data exchange, including updates from PCC SEE Contracting Parties on their implementation progress, technical infrastructure, and preparations for pilot testing and live exchange. Participants also discussed software solutions, emerging AI-based verification tools, quality standards, and resource requirements.
ln addition, the subgroup exchanged views on capacity-building needs and support mechanisms aimed at assisting non-EU PCC SEE Contracting Parties in advancing towards full operational readiness for automated dactyloscopic data exchange.
