Study visit at the Belgrade International Airport - Nikola Tesla


On 29 and 30 April 2010 MARRI (Migration, Asylum, Refugees Regional Initiative) organized the Workshop 'Monitoring and control of border crossing at the international airport border crossing points' in the framework of the Project 'Establishment of network for co-operation between border police on international airport border crossing points in MMS' which took place at the Belgrade International Airport 'Nikola Tesla' in Serbia.
The objective of the 3rd meeting was the establishment of network for co-operation between border police on international airport border crossing points in the MARRI member states. The station commanders or representatives of the Airport police presented the current state of affairs in the field of monitoring and control of border crossing at the international airport border crossing points.

Mr Andrzej Dankowski, an expert from FRONTEX, presented FRONTEX experiences with the data and information exchange between EU member states and informed the participants about concluded bilateral agreements between FRONTEX and all the MARRI member states in the field of data and information exchange cooperation.

The next meeting will take place at the Zagreb International Airport Police Station at the end of May or in the beginning of June 2010. This meeting is planned to be the last one, which means that the conclusions regarding future cooperation will be settled.
